I get the sense that liquidity is drying up. I am seeing this in the metals and futures markets. open interest, inventories, and trading volumes have all collapsed. Depth and price discovery is replaced with volatility and questionable moves in many commodity and stock markets. Feels like painting the tape to fit a narrative.
