Most mine management is citing overheads as a chief cause of shutdowns and the lack of new projects coming onstream. Wages have stabilized and employees are hanging on to their jobs. Traffic is less and accommodation plentiful. Rental prices will be the next to drop followed by real estate sales, all part of the cycle.
