DrStool Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 hui latest 3 day cycle projection 395.50, also hit. Maybe that's all there is. Is that all there is? Is that all there is? Is that all there is?
Drano Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 A/D intraday confirmation failure 613002 details, please? 613004 Indexes had two spikes today.. one at the open, and another one, a couple of hours later, that sent them to new intraday highs. However, the internal A/D never made that second new high, failing to confirm the move. This is very short term only. When I've seen that happen before, the market has sold off later on in the day. 613018 Thanks, Sudsy. Um, just in a kind of symbolic buddy-type way....
elh Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Noticed that every bank this week that declared billion+ writedowns got shanked higher.
potatohead Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 My last observation for today: the market has been going up on newsnosie only. What's that saying about buying the rumor and selling the news? 613021 The market has not been going up on newsnoise, in my view. Newsnoise is only a trigger. The fuel is liquidity. Cash coming out of the collapsing ABCP market is going in several directions, and one of them is the stock market. Some investors view the market as a highly liquid alternative for parking short term funds, especially so, when it is an uptrend. A very dangerous game, for sure. 613027 try to explain that philosophy to an arbitration panel....."stocks are like money market until they go down"
Drano Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Speak: I see your little bird flu biotech has been doing quite nicely. 613003 Sinovac is a sweetie. 2.5 to 6 in two months. I don't know whether it is bird flu related or it's just another pai gow chip, but I'm not complaining. I'm hoping the intraday spike is the target. 613028 ...and I wouldn't be worried one bit about that MACD, nosirree, not one bit.... :o
K Wave Rider Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Bull Poster Child CME powering to new All time highs..I see nothing bearish in that chart.... 613024 I actually think it's worth a trade here on the downside. This is a choppy stock. I would not go long here. 613034 Not sayin to go long..just sayin I see nothing bearish longer term on the daily chart at this point....looks like a high base stick save to me that could possibly run for months now.... The bears have to retake NYA 10K before I will even think about getting aggressively short. Huge work was done there, I think it is now an important pivot zone, that may or may not be tested......next few days should give a better feel
DrStool Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 I'm pretty sure the networks would rather have the Yankees. Don't forget where they are hq'd. The sheer size of the NY market, and the fact that there are so many Yankee fans everywhere makes it hands down first choice. A Cubs Yankees series would be a match made in heaven. Don't forget, Piniella spent most of his playing career in pinstripes. Hell, I even think I'd watch it.
Bungster Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 This market still resembles Marion Jones in 2000.... http://www.bangkokpost.com/sportsplus/spor...s.php?id=122364

Since I'm always late to the game, and since I just noticed the move, must be time to sell.

Besides owning 5 1/2 states (excluding sw Connecticut), the BoSox annually convert millions of college kids who come from no-market teams and attend their first MLB game in Fenway. Then the deal is sealed. Although I grew up in Mass., I've met a ton of Sox fans who never even lived in New England.
