Madness- I guess I misunderstood you when you said you saw nothing out there to worry about. Sorry about that. I like you and I care about you doing well. I guess I just don't always understand some of the things you write. Your post reminded me of some of the things you said around the time of the WAMU thing. I get that that upsets you. You are a great trader and have lots more winners than losers.

I don't concur that there's nothing to worry about in the technicals, although this may depend on the time frame. I can certainly see reason to play for a bounce in the very short term.

The market rallied 600 points off the lows because the Fed pumped half a trillion dollars in cash into Primary Dealer trading accounts, and another trillion into the system in general from November 2008 to March 2010. When the Fed stopped pumping, the rally ended. Direct cause and effect.

i think we're in bear market

we're in a down channel

we're in a waterfall decline

so far the falls are slight

i think we are approaching the niagara escarpment

we're a tad Dover Sole

crashes occur only in Dover Sole situations

but that's just one man's opinion

Boys boys boys. It's a time frame issue. Well that and prices have nothing to do with good and bad, they are totally amoral. And I wish you would let Russ ramble a bit more in the Podcasts, it's entertaining. Also, where is Aaron

Aaron has been fighting to keep his business going after filing BK as a result of the lawsuits he had to fight. He's been too busy to join us.

I'm getting a bit of criticism lately about how I handle the podcasts.

Here's how they work. Russ and I chitchat for about an hour. As in any friendly conversation of that length, he frequently interrupts and talks over me, and I do a bit of talking over him. There are lots of ums, ahs, pauses, and stuttering. It takes 4-5 hours for me to edit that conversation into something listenable. I do the best I can to edit out those parts where we are talking over each other. I think the end product is damn good, but of course, I'm prejudiced. Today's was just ok. Not one of the best, but not too bad.

The podcasts really aren't financially feasible, but I do them anyway. We have virtually zero attrition, which is a testament to the fact that subscribers must like them, but we need more subscribers, and I'd like to hear from people more often about how we can make them better. If the only comment I get is to shut up, then I'll do just that. It's an exhausting process and I don't need it. I do it because I like it and I like hearing the podcasts, but if not enough other people do, then there's really no point. I'm getting old, and I'm tired, and I'd like to get some positive feedback once in a while.

I'll post this one here for free and let the chips fall where they may. If no one subscribes, then I guess that should tell me something.

doc,

i'm sorry. i'm probably a dinosaur, but i can't learn anything from videos or audios. I am an avid reader and sometimes writer. But i just can't listen to podcasts/newscasts/sportscasts/gamecasts(sometimes)

i've tried your free podcasts and they were excellent - i just get no retention - certainly no fault of yours

just giving you feedback - don't know if it's helpful

Me too! My post was insensitive, and I apologize! Madness, you are an integral part of this community, and I absolutely admire your trading ability, so I hope that you will reconsider and rejoin us post haste!

Some people are aural, others are anal, and others are into Cramerism.

I'm with you specie. Listening isn't for everyone. I get bored listening and reading, but I don't get bored with things that would immediately put most people to sleep, digesting reams of data and creating charts, and writing and talking about things that I notice in the data and in the charts. But talk radio and the podcast genre on the web have millions of listeners. I need to tap into some of that. If I can figure out how to do the podcasts for free regularly without giving away all the prop stuff that I do for subscribers, I would do it because I think it would broaden the market for our subscriber material.

That's a very slick professional production with a couple of producers handling the nitty gritty of program production. Would I love to have that luxury? You bet! It's a whole different league from where we are, although ours sounds pretty darn decent considering it's an amateur production by me, using free audio software.

Philly is the birthplace of our nation and was the first capital of the US. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were written there.

....

I really miss it.

Go Phils! Go Eagles!

Anyone want to guess where the 'World Toilet Summit 2010' is being held?

Nope, not Detroit...
