Debkafile has been an invaluable resource for me since I base my trades on geoplolitical events.
DEBKAfile’s intelligence and military sources report that Saturday, December 21 - or Sunday, December 22 - directly after his visit to London, Syrian president Bashar Assad traveled again – this time to a secret rendezvous with Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein in Baghdad.
He brought with him President George W. Bush’s final ultimatum to the Iraqi ruler, delivered into his hands by British premier Tony Blair.

I have to wonder about Debka. I have been following them, and am amazed at how wild and implausible some of their reports seem, only to see them turn up in the mainstream press a few days later. The exchange between Blix and Powell for example. Unbelievable, but it certainly sounds authentic.

Debka is routinely associated with Israeli intellegence. It is the best source of 'leaks'. That being what the various powers that be want known. Like all real good propogandists much of what they have is true. Some is mostly true and occasionaly a big disinformation whopper is thrown in when the time is right.
Just know that Debka is world class spin. That does not mean it should be thrown out or discounted. Every word should be put thru a BS filter however because every word has a specific purpose.
Not that what normally passes for journalism here is any better. Except most of that is low quality spin or just plain mindless rehashing of the current script. Most have built up a tolerance to that.
The financial press is exactly the same as the mainstream by the way. There is no difference.
