A weak bounce for the early openers: Kiwis +0.7%, Aussies +0.3%, Nikkers +0.2%, Sth Korea +0.3% and Singers +0.2%.

 

In the Aussie market, Consumer Staples +2.5% helped by Woolworths announcing a share buyback and at the other end, IT -1.5%.

Buyers showed up giving All Ords +0.8% for the day. Consumer Staples +2% continued to lead with Gold moving up smartly to finish +1.7%. Utilities was downside leader, -1.4% followed by IT -0.6%.

 

Little movement in Asia: China +0.1%, Honkers -0.1%, India +0.3% and Nikkers +0.7%.
