simple guy Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 This is my last post til sometime next week. I think I've overstayed some of my short term welcome and Im pissing into the wind. At any rate, to summarize.... 25.30 was my predicted high this week, we hit it, almost twice in fact. 78.6% retrace of my cited downleg and 38% retrace almost of the YTD highs to YTD lows... nice.... nice indeed. Got close to the prior wave 4 top, which is a great time to short or add to shorts. SG added 35k to his RYVNX at the close tonight 24.90 print.... Y'all can watch and learn as the wave unfolds down beginning tomorrow towards 20.67 to 20.87 Thats where I cover.... You can read previous topics I've posted this week... and they all add up to a correct call of the markets, my emotions not involved, and my solid short position not changed... but added to. See ya next week and good luck!
DrStool Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 SG. Have a good weak end! Get some rest and come back strong and rarin' to go. And remember, the skepticism of some of your fellow stoolies is natural, human, and even healthy sometimes. Don't let it bother you! Sometimes my critics are my best friends, when they help me to see things that I have missed. Many tanks for your contributions! Doc
Grand Poopercycle Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Enjoy! And thanks for yer efforts.
GregFokker Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Have a good rest, SG. We'll miss you!
pottynow Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Thanks SG - I've enjoyed your posts. Happy Trading...
BiteMe Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 SG: Unfortunately, using RYVNX has its costs in waiting. It has lost a dollar plus in value since the last time at this close on January 28th.
Boy Plunger Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 SG- come back when the Q's are at 20.87 so I'll know what to do next Hurry back and thanks!
DONOTKNOWSHIT Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 SG---please do not leave the stool-----please do come back next week. I would do know what to expect next without your posts. You are the calm in the storm, I would have jump out of the market this week if it had not been for your posts. That is what has got me in the hole in the first place. Tell the others that do not believe you or want to not listen, to go to hell. Piss on them. Please stay, we need you.
Dustbowl Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Simple Guy, Please don't get discouraged or leave. You have made yourself very clear and have not wavered a bit. This is a very rare characteristic these days. If people don't post or comment it's probably because they don't know enough about what you are doing or how you do it. For example, I have not posted much, but I guarantee you I have read and reread every post you made. I am trying to synthesize not only what and how you do what you do, but I am also trying like hell to synchronize my emotions to yours. The emotional aspect of trading has always been my problem and I bet many good traders here have had the same problems with emotions also. You are doing many of us a great service in many different ways and you probably don't even realize it. I am getting better and most of that improvement is due to you. Thank you and please stay.
wndysrf Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Simple Guy.. Good idea to take a break. Everyone needs to escape the noise and follow their own intuition. I'll be looking forward to getting out of the market entirely at some point and taking some time off. Look forward to your return next week when we are drip dropping down to those yawning gaps below....
ThorAss Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Skepticism? What's wrong with skepticism? In fact I've dedicated my latest "Long and Short" to you Mr. Simple Guy. I'm a healthy skeptic wrapped in a fan. Check out the "Alternative Count" at The Long and The Short of It We still expect a little more rallying in order to give us some better entries for shorting but a couple of really juicy short candidates for right now are given. Take a pee...k. Tor Nass
Miss Moneypenny Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 SG, Don't take anyone's posts here too seriously. I think you know most people's opinions here, including mine -- we're damn lucky to have ya! For the rest, it's just another example of the Tall Poppy Syndrome -- some people think that the poppy fields are prettier if all of the poppies are exactly the same height -- so they cut down the ones that are stronger and grow above the rest. Your track record stands for itself, and you're obviously one of the tall poppies here in Stoolville -- you stand out above the rest, which makes you easier to spot -- and therefore a target. Some of the stoolies did the same thing to K-Wave when he posted that he thought gold was gettin' overdone. Me -- I love the tall poppies -- I wanna find out what kind of fertilizer you're usin' and go get me some of that good s*#t. So take a breather and fergodsakes -- go jogging 'cause I saw that webcam picture too!

Took the words right out of my mouth. SG- you are a force of nature..Enjoy the time off you deserve it. I just wish I could buy you a drink and a steak. Look forward to your return. Windy, I was thinking the same thing about being out. It's almost like a dream. After this flushes, I also wonder if we will ever have this type of volatility over such a long time again. Particularly if the HedgeHogs and MF's are reined in. Just a thought. BW
cyclist Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Go out and smell the roses! http://www.favoritepoem.org/poems/ferlinghetti/ Enjoy the time away from the noise
