aussiebear Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 Early openers tentatively up: Kiwis, Aussies and Sth Korea all +0.5%, Nikkers closed. In Aussie sectors, Gold, Materials and Miners all +1.1% but volume is horribly thin in the small stocks.

Scully Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 It looks to me like NDX has hit a resistance area and is due for a pullback. Unless something changes overnight, I plan to purchase May 19 $69 QQQ puts at the open.
aussiebear Posted April 30, 2012 Author Report Posted April 30, 2012 All Ords closed +0.8% with all sectors green but somehow there wasn't much pizazz. Gold +2.2% was leader followed by Miners +1.5% and Materials +1.4%. Over in Asia, Honkers +1.7%, India +0.9%, Singers -0.1%, China and Nikkers closed. On to UK/Europe:
Trader Joe Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I plan to purchase May 19 $69 QQQ puts at the open. I think today and tomorrow will be a good days to start or add to existing short positions As always, HEDGED Puts do that for you -- automagically ®
Trader Joe Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 APPL under 6-- As goes APPL so go the Q's
DrStool Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 Gold In Normal Pullback As It Slowly Rounds The Bend
Scully Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 Purchased May 19 $69 QQQ puts, average entry price $2.24. I am using 1/10 leverage (in other words purchased using 10% of the trading account value). TD Wattahose does not allow stops with options, but my mental stop is if QQQ goes much above $67.50 or so. Quiet around here.
shorty Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 somebody bought thousands of BKS May22 calls ahead of the MSFT deal announcement and made 35 times their investment this morning... will SEC investigate?
DrStool Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 Stoolies- As the advisory board (pun, heh heh) to the Wall Street Examiner, could you give me your feedback on the changes I made to the Wall Street Examiner over the weekend. I am trying to make it more relevant to both build traffic, keep visitors coming back and stay on the site longer, and hopefully to subscribe to the Professional Edition at some point. I'd like to hear your comments pro and con, and any suggestions for things you would like to see or not see. Tanks. Doc

Bungster Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 It is way too quiet here... This must be more than your average pullback....
