Early openers are upwardly mobile: Aussies and Nikkers +1.2% and Sth Korea +0.8%. Kiwis closed for Waitangi Day.

Some pretty good gains in Aussie sectors: IT +2%, Financials +1.3% and Miners/Materials +1.2%. Gold -0.9% and Utilities -0.3% are the only reds.

Monday should be a very nasty down day, into Tuesday and possibly Wednesday.

Saw a chart yesterday showing a 1987 parallel with our current market action. Could not find it but mazingly close.

Would be nice. Still holding short NQ 2514 -only 10 contracts - from Friday. Not really a smart play as it was obvious that it was a gapn' go day. Also, holding AAPL puts and some other things that need the market to fall. Made a really nice trade on oil where I went long as it dipped near 95 Friday. Went extra, super heavy on that trade as it was a gimme and needed some extra cash to help offest my short exposure. Anyway, should be an interesting week.

Pretty much sideways for the rest of the day with All Ords closing +1%. Miners and Materials, both +1.8%, were the biggest gainers with Gold -0.5% at the other end.

Asia generally up: China +0.3%, Honkers +0.5%, India and Nikkers +1.1%.

On to UK/Europe:
