And for even that much I can only thank lucky fills on both ends and lucky timing. It did look a couple times like it would break out of the very tight range it's been in, really since yesterday afternoon's open. Oh well, it's better than a whipsaw small loss. Nationally, 1.66 million bankruptcy cases were filed last year, up from 1.57 million the year before, with the bulk of the filings coming from consumers. Locally, the Akron branch of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court reported 6,912 cases, a 14 percent increase.
