Where do you have most of your assets concentrated? I have a fair amount of bullion, but again, I have some short term government paper, some cash, a house.

It's a toss up between my primary residence and equities. Nearly all my "savings" which are non IRA or 401k have been converted into precious metals. I need to keed liquid enough cash to pay property taxes and college tuition. I have my own "trust fund" for that, where I'm on a pay as you go system much like Social Security. :lol:

No debt other than 2 kids wanting to go to college and I'm planning to get them through without loans if I can return to work. I am contemplating cashing the IRA and paying the penalty and taxes and converting it to gold/silver and letting the 401K ride. Asset allocation is an individual thing. I can not only survive on very little, more importantly, I can be happy with very little.
