Every friday, stoolville's favorite half-hour on Crapvision, Kudlow & Cramer, hosts the heralded "bull vs. bear" debate. I don't know who was supposed to be the bear today. They were both bullish. And both made fun of Warren Buffet and Bill Gross.

That show makes me want to vomit, but I seem to tune in anyway. They are absolute cheerleaders for the market and for the Republican agenda. When they (rarely) have a real bear on the show, they just make fun of him along with their bullish guest, so it is 3 on 1 and he is made to look like a stick in the mud.
A surprising interview tonight was Franco Modigliani, the Nobel prize winning economist from MIT who was on Rukeyser. He did NOT tell Rukeyser what he wanted to hear. He said the dividend tax cut plan would not result in a higher stock market over time, but would cause interest rates to rise due to deficits. He said it would lower the already too low savings rate in the US.

Yes, I watched Lou Crookgeyser as well. I especially loved the part when Grandpa Franco gave his take on the dividend thing and the camera zoomed out to capture his grandaughter in the same frame. She, a mutual fundy, had an absolutely shocked, horrified, and betrayed look on her face as gramps gave his take on things.

Roger that: it means down. Maybe they should change the segment to "Bull vs. Bull." Or they could simply call it: "A Whole Lotta Bull." That might be more appropriate.

I couldn't tell which one was the bear, because they both confessed they had bought thousands of shares of GE this week. Maybe that's the price of admission.

Why would a serious bear go on Kudlow and Cramer's show to be ridiculed or inversely why would Kudlow and Cramer have a serious bear on to challenge their hustles? That is not a "financial news" show. That is a couple of boobs who with an agenda show.

Why not have a show hosted by Bob Prechter and Alan Abelson, with regular guests from Prudent Bear, Jim Grant, etc, and then bring on Abby once in a while to make fun of? Oh well I can dream.

Last Spring, I somehow caught David Tice on Crapvision...From PruBear then I have linked to Stooliville. What a miracle, it seems to me.
Maybe they should make one of the Guests wear horns, and the other fur? So we can tell.
I've tho't before if they caught OBL without killing him, that he should be dragged thru the streets of new york for public vilification -- maybe that treatment should be reserved also for the stock market shills of Crapvision and the actual crooks of Wall St. too.
