PileDriver Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Right here Doc... http://www.capitalstool.com/yabbse/attachm...ments/claps.wav
HardAssets Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Volume on NYSE has closed its net downside gap substantially, HOWEVER, the nasdaq volume is still heavily downside. If I were to guess, 925 is high and we close red for the day IMHO
Charmin Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 I hate to say Tim Ord /Tom O'brien was right - 911 then 965 wide open
Guest soup1 Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 let's see what they have when the bonds close?
PileDriver Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Oh look, "a new bull market". I better jump on those Tech stocks or else I'll miss the boat!
simple guy Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Q's just hit 26.90, sorry... I was 2 cents off. Should start heading down to mid 24's from here... YOU MAY NOW FEEL FREE TO SHORT
richmtn Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 So far market internal still pretty negative. They be ramping a few stocks. Looks like a round trip.
Guest soup1 Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 If I was long this price action would scare the sh** out of me. Why the panic? What is it that scares them so?
DrStool Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Y'all need to be careful with regression channels. They all depend on the time period covered. If you can't control the start and end point, it doesn't mean much. I use regressions a lot, but for the purposes of establishing a trend slope between two like cycle points, then extrapolating to see if the market is still behaving accordingly. If you can't control the length of the regression period you can get all sorts of meaningless stuff. Metastock gives you control over that. To the best of my knowledge most free charting programs do not. They regress all of the data on the screen, which is generally useless unless you can control the time period on the screen. And even that limits you because yo can't project forward. Metastock If you buy it from Doc's bookstore, Doc will give you a six month trial to the Anals, or he'll extend your existing subscription for six months. Offer good until December 15.
Guest Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Well, y'all guilted this inveterate lurker into subscribing to the Anals, and helping the Stool out a little. Had to do it, I got into PruBear fund after the Simple Guy recommended it just the other day. ?I'm another one of those chicks who likes simple guys. Doc, been lovin' your site for months now; hope the subscription compensates you a little for the pleasure I've gotten out of it. Back to lurking. Carry on liebe Stoolchen You have a cute butt, Hellacia. Pardon me for saying so, but it's very cute indeed Thx, Greg. Your light saber ain't too shabby neither. Now back to serious lurking before I get into trouble. YOU'RE ALREADY IN TROUBLE, HELLACIA. WELCOME TO STLVILLE!!!
richmtn Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Equities say yes. Yields say bullsh*t.
DrStool Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Pile- Dungs a lot! The gallery politely applauds as Pile makes his par.
sweefraapp Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 Looks like another pop - clap clap. I have my buy window all set for puts.
sniff Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 thank you simple..... some of the accumulated volume was just blown off. Was it enough? I don't know. maybe. cyclist... as Doc advised yesterday, I think.... you can go to the controls and set the time to anything you want. Your time frame or match NY trading time, or Doc's or whatever. doc, I agree on regression channel timeframes..... that is why I mentioned desired trading time frame. You are correct as usual, like any of these tools, practice and experience , advised.... so I will drop it.
Charmin Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 give or take an hour - how about 4pm highs - then another dump tonight
