boltpeddler Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 OK, Out of lurker mode "FOR THE LAST TIME TONIGHT" What about the famed "hedger" Barrick? I have been there, (Goldstrike) and they have a turnstile management. I cannot count how many changes are occuring in the mine mgt. Ground control issues, backfill issues, surface issues. Yet they still seem to be delivering gold into the spot. But not much into the hedges of the past five years. I have an affinity for UG miners. Especially UG gold and coal. The gold guys are "bust ass" for production bonus. The coal guys are just in harms way, (methane, ribs). I want to see some reduction in Barricks hedges. They painted a good picture this year. What about reducing the exposure to a higher gold price. Does GHW Bush see a lower price in the future? What the hell does he have to be on the BOD for this company. I want to see miners prosper. Weather directors or miners. (Hopefully miners). Take the loss, and get into some good mgt. OK, done, now back to the lurker i've been for 2 years.

bearvest Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Charmin: Great analysis from a technical perspective. Here's the Elliott analysis on XAU. It looks for support, resistance and pivots. It's just that it's so moribund with it's Rules and Guidelines. Playing by the Rules, Monday's overlap says ABC. We won't know the truth until an overlap occurs. My best guess is that it's not an ABC but a 1-2/i-ii pattern.
