dozer Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 Flat fizz for three exchange debutants Brisbane Courier Mail - 9 hours ago THE backers of three companies which listed on the ASX yesterday had little cause to break out the bubbly. All three finished either on par or below their issue prices. --------------- I wonder about the big crop of IPO's in the US market....weren't those supposed to go to market this week? Or next week? Wouldn't it be delicious if they all closed their first day under par...
Tchaikofsky Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 Close: The overnight fukutures jam couldn't be originated in Japan, since the Nickme deuce-and-a-quarter was closed, so it was necessary to wait until U-rope opened . . . some blatantly false government economic statistics which contradicted each other and the obvious state of the actual economy were released with little effect . . . thin holiday trading volume was, for the most part, ably manipulated to jam and then hold the indices within a narrow range, allowing the Dowager and Ass n' Pee to close at their best levels in 3 years (inflation notwithstanding) . . . Fannie Farmer completed construction of the finger . . . riverboaters awoke to an anvil-sized hole in their holdings of Adolor, wiping out 4 months of gains (more than 40%) at the open . . . in the NASDAQ Financial Crackhouse, the surging value of many compelling steaming heaps of dung demonstrated again just how well the economy is being managed by Al Leeson, Benwa "Balls" Bernanke and the Gang of 22 . . . Over at Capitalstool.com, the various posters on different message boards provided running commentary and insight on the whole sordid mess . . . To all who contribute here, by the minute, by the hour, by the day: Many Tanks and Dungs Alot! Happy Holidaze! (Oh, if you want the Barfing.com daily dose of crap, it can be found here). ================== P.S.: fxfox: So, how much do you make?
DrStool Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Your Stool Pigeons Wire message boards have a couple of new features. You can now have your own blog, right here at the Stool, and you can also have your own chart gallery, and they can be linked to each other. To start your blog go to My Controls and click on Blog Settings. Just fill in the form and click submit when complete. Voila, your blog will be set up. Of course you must be a registered board member. Board rules will apply. Be sure to follow copyright guidelines. There are links to the main blog page in the top menu, and once you set up your blog, you will see a link to it in the top menu. I will also add a link to the main blog list page in the left column menu. Feel free to place links to your blog articles here in the message boards. I was thinking, since blog is short for weblog, maybe we could call our blogs, Stool logs. What do you think? Are you a Stool logger?
DrStool Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Apparently there's a glitch in the Galleries. We'll get that working as soon as possible.
DrStool Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Also I fixed the hotlinking problem with Stoolie Stock Charts. http://www.capitalstool.com/stock-charts.htm You can now hotlink the charts here. To hot link, right click on the chart, copy the image location (url) and then when you are posting, click the IMG button above the message box, and paste the image url into the box. Enter and complete your post. There's a permanent link to the chart page in the left menu under Resources.
DrStool Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 You can leave the chart width set at 600 pixels.

intertrader888 Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Chinese market(Shanghai) is full of crap. The market was used to raise capital for dying state-owned enterprise. The capital was later spent, more or less, at casinos around the world by the management of those enterprise. Besides the same buisness, i.e. PTR, listed in HK as H-Share at 12 P/E; while it would list at Shanghai at 30 P/E. After 2000, SH is basically a dead market.
