Hi Ho Silver and away!

$7.81 intraday was achieved on Buffet's purchasing in Feb 1998 though I think the close was never higher than about $6.60.

Highest settlement price on the March 1998 Comex silver future was $7.28, in the first week of Feb. 1998.

Today's breakout was important.

And how about a show of applause for our sponsors, Al Leeson and Benny Law? We couldn't have done it without you, guys!

Soup you and I both know the matrix will fail. They cannot alter the powerful trend in place. They can affect the timing ( and pray that a miracle will occur while they have their fingers in the dike ) but they can't stop what is happening in the real economy.

Take a look at this:Running on Empty

Had to laugh at your response to Purdy talking about "all the deflation talk". You're right, there are fewer deflationists here on Stool than one hand's finger count. And we're the bear site! The faith in the fed/govt ability is stunning considering where we are in the process after 3+ years and what they have tried and failed with so far.

I don't count the future because we cannot know what it is. I was refering strictly to spot, you know as in this is what is real today.

I think you will be surprised to find out just how little those assholes have to do with the price of silver, but then I will never convince you of that. You're a Keynsian through and through and that rule book has no place in today's uncharted world. It will appear they have control right up to the time the wheels fall off.

He said "Keynsian" ... :shocked

Excuse me all to hell but my typing leaves mucho to be desired.

Keynesian - I stand corrected.

As job ax swings, Reliant reports progress on earnings

By LAURA GOLDBERG

Reliant Resources improved its fourth-quarter performance but provided a forecast for this year that's lower than some on Wall Street had been forecasting.

The company said then that 250 employees would lose their jobs, 100 vacation positions wouldn't be filled and 300 contract and temporary positions would be axed.
