plantigrade
Happy new year, too. AssMaster, In my own personal opinion, the absolute low in gold and the high in the Nasdaq was put in when one or two of the Australian gold miners were reported to be discontinuing mining operations to become internet-related businesses I remember Peruvian Gold (PVO.V) diversifying into the Mattel computers (overpriced computers in rose color with Barbie doll logos, already a losing venture BTW). That was tops. Vesselin, ... making predictions based on a non-standard time frame pulled off a hat and an invalid chart pattern with wrong implied target over this time frame ... Thank you for your learned comment on this "head-and-shoulders". That hunchback fell off Notre-Dame. Bullish is fine, but anything goes is not good. BTW, what is this end-of-year thread continuing in January ? End of year 2003 ? Are we setting a record ? Shouldn't somebody be menacing the Doc right away or something? :wink2:
Guest
Reuters Oil Prices Jump, Dollar Woozy Wednesday January 1, 10:17 pm ET By Bill Tarrant SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Oil prices jumped on Thursday, the dollar held at a three-year low on the euro and Asian stocks traded tentatively, as markets opened the year jittery about a U.S. troop build-up in the Gulf and economic recovery prospects. U.S. crude futures raced two percent higher after data showed American crude stocks falling more than nine million barrels, the biggest decline in 13 weeks, as a month-old strike in Venezuela sliced supplies into the United States. The dollar was hovering near Tuesday's three-year lows against the euro and just off 3-1/2-month lows against the yen, with the U.S. currency seen vulnerable to war risks.
