In a "collapse" scenario, the reverse will be true. Depends on your outlook. My gut hunch would be, the Yen will take the reins, albeit it kicking and screaming, as World currency, but there are countries that want strong currencies like Russia, Islamic countries and eventually China. GFI and HMY holding up well today, something up with the rand? I know HMY got a bunch of new head honcho's to replace their old ones - but that is old news.
