Metamucil Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Herd-Shopping folks need this. Give 'em a break. If this wasn't amateur week, I'd short even more. None of the cmap channels have been blown away....and price is at the TOP. Take a look at Doc's cmaps for bonks, internuts, semis and trannies......they're all essentially undisturbed.

PileDriver Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 PileDriver: What do you think of BPNDX? $BPNDX Rather toppy for the large caps. indeed, but toppy can go on for a long time. I'm sure it won't, I'm sure we're close, but in the meantime if you don't have to, why fight it? I'm waiting for it to crack below 70%. That means I miss some of the down move to which I say "so what", better than getting spanked on the way up. If the down move is going to be huge in price and time then why rush it. Doc is right. You just have to know who YOU are and trade accordingly and to YOUR rules.
longOnUranus Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 howdy - hanky the turkey poo talking to you from the ROAD! what a POS this market is, gobble gobble. Pull off at some truck stop where the 18 wheeler pilots are playing the eightliners - "hey dudes, yo' missing the bull rally in the STOCK MArket!". get some wierd looks. Ameritrade needs some machines at Truck Stops of America. Gotta go. Bought smore putz today, gotta be close to a top, but easing in again slowly. CDWC down 3+ yesterday, that turkey is fried!. Miss yall - love and kisses from da heartland. lou.
Fartpolio Manager Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Look at the bright side, maybe these bulls will be so fortified by today's rally and economic news that they will go shopping on FR instead of plowing it into the market... Unless, of course, they are the greedy type... hehe, he, uh ... shit...
MichaelT Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Quote from Yahoo News. "Market gauges had closed about 2 percent lower on Tuesday after disappointing consumer data, but investors said Wednesday's economic figures helped boost optimism. " My cats have a longer attention span. I feel like Marty McFly.
Charmin Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 with a 5 day low do we "anticipate" making the final run in the next few days or is friday still to be labeled "top" need a little anticipation
Bird D Durr Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Double Flush.................... Consumption tax is never going to happen............................. It would wreck the budget and be seen as too kind to the rich................. That's a pipedream....................many conservatives wouldn't even vote for it......................
PileDriver Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 I agree, this is going to form the MOTHER of all blow off tops. I'm still salivating. Still remember Prechter saying a long time ago that EVERYONE is going to be on board right before the FINAL ride to hell begins. Well, it looks like everyone is still boarding. Us Stoolies are the only ones SNOT.
Rockhead Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 NYSE.... Red colored solid line should be solid GREEN and represent about a +600 tick level
HardAssets Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 There is a huge expanding triangle in SPX almost fully developed, which is very bearish, I believe. It can resolve itself anywhere from topping here or hitting a new high at the top of the triangle. A new high would probably scare to death the shorts, where like Doc said, the big players can get more heavily shorted. Once that ecpaning triagle completes watch out because the downside is usually fast ad fierce. IMHO comments welcome
Charliss Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Being bears, we may have to wait just a bit longer to get what we are after- A bear walks into a bar, sits down on a stool and places his huge feet up on the bar. Bartender looks at the bear, pays special attention to his huge feet, then says, "What will you have?" Bear replies, " I'll have a, uh......"...followed by nearly half a minute of silence from the bear. Then, the bear finishes with "...a whiskey." Bartender asks, "Why the big pause?"
Guest AssMaster Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 PileDriver: I agree and am still 30% long. Go figure. It sort of reinforces that tech crap is still flying, and will still fly - PHTN (flat panel display test equipment) for example. It's gone vertical. (Perhaps, my future employer next year) Sorry, being an underemployed (ha!) sw consultant to semi and flat panel capital equipment companies AND being bearish on their stocks is sort of confusing at times. Hope and fear in equal measures.
