Guest Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Waffly sort of day here with All Ords up a touch. Not bullish by any stretch of the imagination but bearish is too strong a word, how about neutral? Seems rest of Asia fairly lackadaisical as well. The golds hanging in, mostly minor downside except for Newcrest +3% after its pullback yesterday. More thunderstorms today only we've got hail as an extra. At least its not cold...
On The Beach Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Japanese co.s throw in the towel on pension funds. They now are the govts problem. And, predictably, NIKKEI and TOPIX head to Gulf War I levels once again. Precursor for U.S. pension funds and markets for Gulf War III?

alceringa Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Just before 6AM Stool HQ Time- Japan finished down. SPOOs futures back to flat, after the 3AM jam. Uncle Buck hugging the 100 line after a little drop below it. Europe mostly up 1% in France. 2% on the DAX. AM Market Call By CNNMoney
Oilman Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Enjoy your holiday Doc. you deserve it and have a great rest. This market will not be going any where in the first stage of this war. Best wishes. Oilman
chibear Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Nikme only down 28. Spoos unch. Get yourself on Holiday Doc......what you doing here today? I second that. Is this going to be a real vacation or a one-eye-on-the-monitor vacation?
