The typical place for Europeans to go during the winter brake are Canary Islands (500km south from Madeira) like Tenerife where the one of the best in the world water park or zoo parks are located (loro park). If you want to have 20. celsius degree (like chiller summer) you come here since even in Nice/south of spain or Portugal/Algarve where its colder. all the best! I've been wanting to do Las Palmas. Aka Fed RRP Slush Fund Aka the GMFfGMF Government Money Fund for Government Money Funds. Down to 2.01 trillion, down 240 billion from real peak, not fake year end window dressing peak. The „they“ are commercial banks? Or governmental institutions, like the Treasury? The banks try to cover their bond losses with that? So they can take more risk now? DrStool
Around 90% of SCR chips holders are Government Money Market Funds. So the question is who are the depositors in GMMFs. Answer: Toot Le Monde Everybody. But the majority of everybody are professional investors. So when $240 billion comes out of the SCR, some of it is used to buy stocks.

DrStool
External shocks do not reverse market trends. At most, their effect is a couple of days. The next pandemic won't even affect the market. If we live that long because nuclear war probably would affect the market.

The pandemic as such would have not affected the market, the lockdowns did, but their severe effect was more than offset by the Central Banks. Till today 90% of people don‘t get that there would never ever lockdowns be possible if the CB‘s would not have been involved. The lockdowns were a catastrophe and will have long term effects in the appreciation of democracy as such, cause they were autoritarian and are a sign of terror states were nazis or communists reign. To follow the chinese example - follow a totalitarian cimmunist terror state - was the biggest mistake western democracies made since the Appeasement policy regarding the nazis in the 1930s. The Wall Street Wise Guys have been cutting since December. They are driving this flat squeeze.
