Guest Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 By Krista Larson, Associated Press, 3/18/2003 20:19 MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) The annual rotten sneaker contest included a little international competition Tuesday with an entry sent from the crew of the USS Montpelier submarine. The sneaker arrived double-bagged from an undisclosed location in the Persian Gulf where the submarine is currently deployed. But the shoe arrived with an unmistakable (and horrendous) odor of fish. Contestants are required to be under the age of 15, but contest organizers still gave the military shoe an honorary title of ''most rotten sneaker.'' ''That's a weapon of mass destruction right there,'' said commentator Dave Moody, who moderated the 28th annual contest. There are no plans to return the stinky shoe, said George Walker, who serves as a liaison between the city and the submarine that bears its name. ''The shoe belongs to the chief of the boat,'' said Walker, who added that crew members chose the sneaker as the foulest footwear they had to offer. ''George, please relay our thanks to the crew of the USS Montpelier for sending the entry,'' Mayor Chuck Karparis said. ''May you give them our thoughts and wishes as they enter into these next few weeks.'' The rotten sneaker contest began in 1975 as a way to help a local sporting goods store sell shoes. The local recreation department ran the contest for several years. In 1988, Odor-Eaters maker of anti-foot-odor insoles, sprays and powders picked up sponsorship of the event.

Drano Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 From Doc's Stooltrading: " This looks like top formation as opposed to consolidation." Doc, why? What indicators differentiate this?
Oyster Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 There are s different Williams books and a package deal. the books are around 30 bucks UI think. not sure about the package. I was told to read the 2nd book before his 1st called Trading Chaos...and I have to say that was the correct thing to do....both books are a must

blackbelt Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 If I may add another book that I believe is a must to read by traders.... Justin Mamis: The Nature of Risk. I tried to find it at Doc's bookstore but it doesn't seem to be there for some reasons. There are other books by Mamis, but the above is what I recommend.
Drano Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 drano- cmaps Are you saying that your yellow arrows pointing to the other indicators are not a factor? That's my question.
Goldmember Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Why I don't sweat tuition to Wall Struck University fees, other than yesterday's outburst. Checks and balances. Not touting this one, though I will hold it for years to come, and a core element of my "untouchables" stuff. Very sweet in a cyclical sense as well, and my, oh, my, if it isn't poised for another little run. Grabbed this at 75 cents. Not your average wacky penny stock. deBeers footing all the bills. Gotta love it! Nice to have a few comfy longs. Just added up current balances of core position and guess what? I'm still ahead after options lessons, though I won't give up on them entirely. DogBoy Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Doc, does that mean we saw the top or is a further manic move to the upside possible ? By the it seems that the TOP (if this is what it was) occurred with the first major attack on Baghdad which Fox has just reported. The exploding noises are hurting my ears and I'm all the way in sunny Florida. Interesing, it seems we get the TOP just as Shock and Awe kicks in. I'm with the SPX 726 crowd, here we come.
simple guy Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Have to agree with Doc here 5th wave doesnt appear complete, need a final blast. Gaps at 1423 still there, soon will be filled. Then we can reverse down for a retrace fibo wise... Easy math on it... 38%... 1359 50%... 1338 61.8%... 1318 Assuming 1423 high or close... We need one final push to exhaust the last of the morons like me who remain steadfastly short, willing to be patient.
simple guy Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 1414 is a clear 61.8% retrace off the Dec 2 1515 NAS high and recent low 1423 fills a gap in the chart Clear 5 waves up from 1030 bottom this morning, very very clear waves... in 5th now... Today could be a definite ST top, with fairly significant pullback beginning tomorrow. Those who give up and cover now, will be really pissed off IMO.
