I don't know. I was just eating a pack of pickled herring smothered in chopped onion in oil that I bought at the convenience store downstairs for 75 cents, with sesame poppy rye toast that I got at a bakery in the Hala Mirowska next door for about $1.20. With food like this available whenever I want, who cares what the stock market is doing.

I freaking love pickled herring.

The food options in Warsaw are absolutely spectacular. Every major street has  a variety of ethic restaurants and street food. In fact, right now, I'm hankering for a kebab, or a bagel, I'm not sure which, but I can go walk a block or two and find either, or ramen, or pho, or pierogis (natch) or some of the best Neapolitan pizza I've had anywhere.

Jesus! There's even a TGI Friday's across the street, McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks. You wanna feel like you're in Atlanta? The Lower East Side? Hanoi? Tel Aviv? Istanbul? It's all here. This town isn't very European, but it sure is international. It's growing on me.
