Goldmember Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Great board Doc! I think adapting to uploading pics from harddrive will be easy to live with. A little careful distribution selling and position jockeying will about complete this POS this week, at least for a tradeable pullback IMhO.
The End Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Doc, Please do not go and try to find another board. This one is fine. I see unh cracked. I have been short that stock for almost a year. I see some trading in the $60.00 range. Anybody have a traget? It also broke long term trend channels
GregFokker Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 There's 10B of feed in there, plenty of jam. There's speculation that the ECB will cut rates. It's inevitable that tons of money is going to jam the USD, bonds, and blue chip stocks. Gold looks like the play here, but they're going to continue whacking that little market as long as they can. Blech.
BusKow Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 There's a great freeware graphics utility that wil capture your screen images, tell you what size they are, and let you size them to what you want. Irfan View
DrStool Posted November 25, 2002 Author Report Posted November 25, 2002 If you have technical issues, pleaswe open a thread on this forumTry It Out Generally speaking if you are on a 19" or larger monitor, limit chart width to 50% of screen. That should work for most users who are on smaller monitors at 1028 pixel width.
Guest soup1 Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 the equity mkt is just like the gold mkt. With gold I could care less about the day to day stuff, I own gold coins and I will only add more on price weakness. But this crap with stocks, well it makes it very difficult to hang in there. Oh well, no one ever said it would be easy or make sense.
Rockhead Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I think the Keyser Squishy had it correct. Image width is dependent on your own screen resolution. I have my monitors set to 1280 x 1064 and Docs images take up less than 1/3 of the screen for me. The images I had been posting were about 1/2 of my screen view. The below is image is just about a tad under 1/2 of my screen view. Hopefully, it is Ok for width. If its a problem for you, PM me to let me know. Thanks
Stutz Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Having trouble w. Schwab on-line. I think I'm short QQQs.
Fartpolio Manager Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Just a reminder... Tuesday: New Home Sales, Revised Q3 GDP, Consumer Confidence Wednesday: Durable Goods Orders, Jobless Claims, Personal Income/Spending, FRB Beige Book Thursday: THANKSGIVING DAY HOLDIAY - MARKETS CLOSED Friday: Chicago Purchasing Managers' Index, Univ. of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Again, I would wait til Friday to short this pig, we all know what Consumer confidence game is being played here with the Nasdaq... I'm encouraging some of my "buy and hope"(less) friends with inventories of the Nasdogs to think about dumping them on Friday...
FeedFool Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 Looks like nasty wants to check out 1500.
DrStool Posted November 25, 2002 Author Report Posted November 25, 2002 here's a 1 day cycle cmap chart. 934-937 looks reasonable.
PDoody Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 If the market is manipulated, like we believe it is, wouldn't this be the week to do it (unless they already shot their load)? Doc's feed analysis shows that the fed hasn't, so why not use a low volume week at this seasonally correct time to do it? Just a thought.
DrStool Posted November 25, 2002 Author Report Posted November 25, 2002 Still about an inch too wide ideally. But it's ok.
