Doc's Abby Justa Colon link is now in FOURTH place on the First Google page of search results! Stoolies, do a google search yourself and click on Doc's link! Promote the STOOL!!! I know you got a heavy workload with the new board and all Doc, but with the google fame an updating may be due for that link, especially since the financial infomercial media has put out her latest forecast, laughable as usual!

Guest_Sigmoid,

There are some tax considerations though not for IRAs and 401Ks of course.

Hussman mentions the inverse of what you do in his weekly comment Hotline Update

"...a short-term shareholder who sold the Fund the day before the distribution in order to avoid it may face a larger total tax liability (or enjoy a smaller tax benefit) than a shareholder who took the distribution..."

don't have more info though...sorry

These stage managers down at the NYSE are getting ready folks... They can't pull the rug right here, because we need a positive week so that Christmas shopping goes well... So they'll perpetuate the dream a little bit longer for the Buy and Hopers... Could it last til Christmas? Of course, but the probabities are that ... it won't. We're close to a top here, I think Fr at the close be a good time to consider shorting...

constant stream of +700-900 tick readings all day. I really have never seen a mkt like this, To report that I am perplexed would be quite an understatement.

A very quick story

For awhile after college, I had an apartment with 3 roomates. We decided to have a small aquarium with fish, one of those 24 inch jobs. We filled it with fish, water, a few items... and fed those fish for a few weeks. Then we got bored, our interest level in the fish died, but the problem was... the fish did not.

One day, literally several weeks after the water had turned brown and black and we hadn't fed the tank with any food... we saw to our amazement a fish still swimming at the bottom of the pond water. I could not believe the fish was still alive. It was kind of like watching a horror flick when the antagonist keeps coming back after being killed, or so you thought.

This market reminds me of the goldfish at the bottom of the pond water. Still sticking his lips up for the last breaths of air before finally rolling over and floating to his death.

I think the goldfish is inhaling his last breath today...

I realize this board doesn't do everything, but it does more than any board out there. And it does it faster. I'm not going to spend any more time looking for and changing message board software. Gotta learn to love this one. I think it's great. I'm real happy with it.

The width of the chart on your computer screen will be the width of the chart on this page. Try to keep you chart to less than 75% of screen width.

Hmmm, that might be the problem - if your screen is a big mofo set to high resolution (say 19 or 21" set to 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 for example) then 75% of your screen size is actually alot bigger than 600 pixels... :o

You can check the size of your image in Windows Explorer by checking Properties, or by opening it up in Paintbrush or another graphic app and looking at Image Attributes, then resize as necessary. B)

Soup, ya ain'd da only one who's perplexed. Major ASStro guy just said on his hotline that "the major indicies are acting VERY STRANGE(ly)" in the middle of their trading ranges, could go either way, he expects higher high by week's end.

This mkt is sending a signal of weakness to THIS observer. And one of quiet desperation by the manipulators, too.

maybe he's got it all wrong, butt: he's consoled by this pricing action...SOMEWHAT. LOL

If it closes above 937 SPX he'll reconsider.

There's sumpthin' wotten in Denmark...

SG, lol, it's a sure bet by the quality of the stocks that are running here that these suckers are bottom feeders buying this market... Now whether it's a goldfish or a Sturgeon, I could care... One thing about a Sturgeon though, if he gets hooked he'll put up a hell of a fight... in fact locally we call em Mud Marlins...

But if you got him hooked good, he'll eventually come in for ya...

when we say that friday is THAT they of the year when americanos go shopping like crazy animals then there will be no real downturn until wednesday p.m., they can do that if they pushed Dow before to 9000, then they can say as an excuse for wed p.m. sell off "ah well, some took their profits before zanks giffing" :D

But go short during fridays p.m. session could be the better play.
