Bearman Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Is anyone thinking about what comes out at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow on "employment report Friday"? sure the bulls are after 8wks of gains. Now looking at a wkly key rev to the dn-side
Guest soup1 Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Have to think ( although this could be a dangerous assumption) that most know the employment numbers are bogus.
Pigeon Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 is anyone here short qlgc... the chart looks like it's hanging by a string... could it gap down tomorrow.... wondering if this would be a good entry...
DrStool Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 In my view, gold stocks are in a bull market and are under accumulation. While I don't expect a breakout in the near term, they will break out, and I want to be there when they do. Been holding a gold fund since 12/26/01.
Rockhead Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 NAZcrapper....the Hextal Save. Clear COMPX trade entry levels are 1412 short and 1427 dong. Dont push it! Relax and wait.
Charmin Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Thanks Sloth - I really really really see it - I didn't see the same on the Spx and looks to me like it would have to go back to 918 to hit - so now we bounce off support again
sweefraapp Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 I have seen people gowing both ways on QLGC today.
rog Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Is anyone thinking about what comes out at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow on "employment report Friday"? I'll see your fabricated backwards looking government employment report and raise you one INTC mid quarter update and one last day to positioned before the 13,000 page Iraqi weapons report. Seeing how we have already created 400K jobs for potatoe farmers and strawberry pickers (which by the way is more than was created in all of 1890-1895 when the economy revolved around agriculture) it seems inevitable that the economy will produce the consensus number of jobs (35,000 - 75,000) +/- 2000 just to make it not seem so contrived. That would also put us 1,750,000 jobs shy of expectations for this 1 year old recovery.
Rockhead Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Prediction.....Da boyz close COMPX at 1416. We gonna have to wait for the "gap" tomorrow.
DrStool Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 fxfox. Yeah- we got an 8-13 day low coming up but it will be a swup, I'm sure. 900 is a floor for now. Or they might whipsaw through it then take it up. I wouldn't short here.
Fartpolio Manager Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Is anyone thinking about what comes out at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow on "employment report Friday"? Certainly am, I'm hoping for another open like the one we had on Monday... Of course the data I'm most interested in tomorrow will be consumer credit at 3PM... that's going to be a selloff, no matter which way it goes...
Bearman Posted December 5, 2002 Report Posted December 5, 2002 Need to fill gap in am at 883 s-peeeeeeeeeeee soon then work on the one at 803 level
