  1. I thought about buying some Berkshire. Problem is, it performed quite bad form a european based investor perspective during 2000 to 2009 when USD was weak. Another thing: It doesnt beat the S&P since 20 or so years it seems. The S&P Total Return actually beats Berkshire since that time? Berkshire pays no dividend, so I simply don‘t know why I should buy Berskshire and not just the S&P.

Besides that I like Buffet. He doesn‘t seem to be an asshole and is calm and so, not very loud. I like that.

    Buffet quotes I like:

"You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant." 😂

„The most important thing to do if you find yourself in a hole is to stop digging." 😂

„I just sit in my office and read all day"

"I insist on a lot of time being spent, almost every day, to just sit and think. That is very uncommon in American business."

"The most important investment you can make is in yourself."

„Read 500 pages like this every day. That's how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it."

As much of a preternatural bear as I am, I find most permabears clueless about how the market works, and tiresome.

Guys like whathisname that runs the mutual fund who is always wrong. I mean always. The guy has been bearish since the 2009 low. But man does he have great data on how overvalued the market is.

People fail to understand that value is fictional. It's a mirage. Things are worth what you can sell them for.

WTF is the value of TSLA? I mean really. Who cares. Look how much fucking money the morons who trade it made.

And then there's that bloviating chemistry professor who is absolutely clueless but loves to hear himself bloviate.

And people believe that shit. They lap it up.

That is your best market related post ever. A classic, a keeper. Should be printed at a prominent place on the website.

  3. We can not say that violence when it comes to politics is somerhing new n the US after WW2.

Both JFK and RFK were murdered most likely from some kind of right wing sources.  Who exactly we will maybe never know. Take Bobby Kennedy for example. There was a good chance that he would have beaten Nixon, once he overtook Humphries what he quite likely would have achieved. Then came that Palestinian guy.,, ah yes... just like Ali Agca killed almost the Pope... alone... just so... ah yes 🙄

When it comes to political violence from law enforcement we have thst example from Kent University.

So the right wing have made it clear quite often thst they will also use the ultimate violence - murder - to achieve their goals. Frightening. 😳

As long as the Fed prints enough money to fund the debt, I don't see much point about speculating on a top, at least until the TA shows some signs of one.

It's probably also a good bet that the Trump Regime will use its $1.6 trillion cash hoard to do whatever it takes to keep stocks rising until the election.  The Treasury has even told us that it will spend $800 billion of it in September. Didn't say how, but you know how Trump loves to bray about the stock market.

Get the inside dope from the outside dope at Liquidity Trader. 90 day risk free trial.

Yes. Absolutely and totally. They will not only prevent stocks from going down, they will actually BOMB it higher. S&P 4000 and NDX 15000 before Nov 3.

I agree, and take it a step further, many dont think Powelll and his "friends" are smart...but i will tell you they are smart enough to fear what trump may do to their system, if he breaks their cookie jar they are all fucked too

which on second thought is pretty much what you just wrote

They ARE smart. Definitely. Same like with the guys from McKinsey: Assholes at heart, but smart. They are good, very good in what they are doing. Same counts for Goldman prop traders: Assholes at heart, but good, VERY good.

He's a private equity guy. His circle of friends are private equity and other people of wealth and power. He's not an academic. He would have no reason, practical or theoretical, to crash the market.

Yes. Absolutely correct. He is part of the game, part of the club so to say.

There is a reason why there is never a guy like the one from the Union Head of the FED. That guy with the fat glasses is more like a FED head (notice him saying to the Union guy „you are not a Professional“ 🙄)

  7. Btw, have I ever told you that I admire Dr Ruth Westheimer?

Hard core German accent 😂 and not only that, she speaks Frankfurt dialect, even when she speaks English 😂

In my view she is an absolutely outstanding personality. A role model. The Germans/Nazis killed all her relatives, her mother, her father... She then went to nowadays Israel to fight for the Hagana and so on, look here:

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Westheimer

There is also this outstanding documentary about her: „Ask Dr Ruth“. Trailer here:

  8. Who says that the March low was not already the 1932 +89 (88) years Fibo projection low? This was a very serious downmove we had. In the US it was somewhat contained, espacially in NDX. When you look globaly, many indeces went down 50% and more. That is NOT nothing.

In past decades it would have taken 12-36 months or so to make a 50% downmove. Just the fact that it now took only a few weeks doesn‘t mean nothing happened. Pricewise A LOT happened.

Bears are often too greedy. They are as greedy as bulls.

If you gave Noland 1 million in 1995 you would be a chlochard right now. Maybe a greeter at Wal Mart.

    Trump wants out of NATO.

I have to wonder at what point the US military leadership gets fed up and tells Trump to GFH.

Yes very interesting. I am absolutely sure that the inner circle of the Forces have a major problem with Trump. NATO was founded by the US. It is an US-lead project so to say. Generations of high honored Army personell was raised and educated in the spirit of NATO. The Army has very good relations with Germany for example. Trump destroys this all. Everything. The Forces will NOT go with Trump into the abyss. Never ever.

  10. NATO warns Russia not to interfere in Belarus affairs

That‘s big. It is like if Russia would say to the US: „Canada is a souvereign state. Don‘t interfere.“. Belarus is like a backyard for Russia. What NATO says is:“If needed, I invade your backyard“. Why should the Russians NOT think:“And the next step is invading my house or what?“

Will be interesting to see how this market handles major geopolitical risk.

When do you think I will ever be able to come to Germany?

I was written up in a Croatian business magazine this week Lider.

They found me so fascinating that they're now doing an entire article about me..

    17334 (3).pdf 70.13 kB · 7 downloads

Germany a few days ago did put Croatia on the „risk country“ list. So that basically makes it impossible for you to come to Germany now or maybe possible but only with major hassle I guess.

It seemed Croatia had Corona somewhat under control. But then they opened the country because big dependancy on tourism and imported the crap big time. Sad.

Awesome that you made it to that magazine. Very cool! 😎
