Slappy
Scared, in an environment of excess liquidity and adverse dooler exchange rates? You just keep piling into PWI. In another month some nice Arabian people will give you C$26.75 each for your shares... I don't get that one at all...
LeeWhee
3 and 5 day cycle indicators on the cusp of sell signals. Actually, the spx 5 day never went to the buy side. 614828 Can we possibly get a Friday Unhappy Print? What's the woild coming to? Drano
Looks like Cramer's "Horsemen" will continue to be used as the show-props while the other stuff slips down the back stairs. All those people who went long PHM around 16 -- It's at 15.13 now. Suckerzzzz......
Jimi
I once had to give a wide berth to a 9 foot gator sunning himself on the first tee at Boynton Beach Muni. 614829 Best to let 9 foot gators play through.
DrStool
You know things are bad when we spend two pages on an obscure Ukrainian soccer coach. OK, so he's not obscure in the Ukraine. It's sorta like Richie Ashburn. 614816 I remember him. Played CF. 614830 Yeah, I meant to say Richie Ashburn and Philadelphia. In Philly, he's a revered saint. In the rest of the world, nobody heard of him. Won two NL batting titles. Career .300 hitter. Great centerfielder. Woulda been the best of his era if it weren't for a couple guys named Mays and Mantle. Went on to be a broadcaster for the Phillies for 25 years or so until his untimely death in 1997. Thousands and thousands of fans lined up for hours to walk past his casket at a tribute in Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park. A beloved character. I was driving in North Palm Beach when I heard the news. Pulled my car over and cried for awhile. He was one of my childhood heros.

Vince Papale - Walk off nobody gets a movie made out of him. Dave Roberts - Steals a base is clapped every time he shows up at Fenway regardless of where he played. Contrast that to West Coast cities: Next year, Barry Bonds shows up on the visiting team in San Francisco. Who's that guy?

potatohead
3:45 (Dow Jones) The average hedge fund return in August was negative 1.79%, Pertrac Financial Solutions reports, and there was a sizable spread among managers. More than 70% of the funds the firm tracks reported negative returns, with returns in the fifth percentile at 3.31% and in the 95th percentile at negative 8.64%. But, firm reports, things may be getting better already. The initial results for September show a "fairly dramatic" rebound, with a mean return of 3.07%. (PJV) Bull shite....that was the numbers using mark to model....
