Sales of new one-family houses in June 2007 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 834,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The boner move in earl reminds me of July 1990 when oil started going vertical and the schlock markit started going straight down. Two weeks later, Iraq invaded Kuwait.

Perhaps Preznit Dick Cheney is getting ready to spring an August surprise in Eye-ran.

BTW, back in 1990, earl topped in Oct and then fell for the next 3-4 years.

Hardly. It's only a net add of $1.75 billion. The Treasury is settling $12 billion today.

The Fed is actually putting a rope around the market's neck and tightening it.

Given the credit market instability, I'm shocked not to see the Fed pumping here.

It's eerie. I sense a huge tactical blunder in the making here by the Fed.
