I have been on this diet for about 10 weeks, its a very easy way to diet...

keep up the good work! :)

[self congratulatory rant]

I started my own little regimen about 7 months ago.

Strict diet of:

1) egg white omelette for breakfast
2) salad for lunch
3) salad (with chicken, beef or fish added) for dinner
4) some lowfat ice cream while watching tv at night (DVR+fall season tv=joy)

Water and OJ only for drinks. Treadmill jog for 30-45 mins., 5 days a week.

2 weekend nights a month I gobble the better part of a pizza.

I've lost over 40 lbs. and I'm hoping to slice off another 25.

I just picked up a couple pairs of hemmed dress pants today. Trimmed them from a 44 waist to a 40. Target 38.

[/self congratulatory rant]

Congratulations! That is reason enough to shop for a new wardrobe.

I'm 6'5".

The height kind of masked it for a long time (or at least that's what I told myself). Finally, enough was enough. I had to get angry  about it... same way I quit smoking.

I'll never go back. And with all the bread companies going bankrupt it doesn't look like I'd be able to anyway. I understand Kraft is going to link a bunch of their products to the South Beach diet now. Wacky.

I just read some Bhudist stuff at my sister in laws which preaches peace and love.
Recently I saw a blip on Islam which said that anger is the most motivating force.

From Carver.

The S&P 500 Index is approaching the price at which it will have given back exactly half of its prior rally -- the 50% retracement price of 1096.13. That should be a good support price, but support goes down to the 62% retracement price. Now, if that price area does not hold the market, a quick plunge down to the support line which held the market in August would follow. As you can see, that support line is around 1050. A decline to those levels would setup a great buying opportunity, but it's not necessarily the most probable area for this correction to bottom.

If that is where we bounce, Neely will continue to be right. Notice 1050 carver doesn't agree with.More and more I see Neely making sense.

Chalabi II but for the next war.You gotta be a crackpot to think this up.Fool me once and all that!

"A call from a US-based Iranian TV personality has prompted thousands of Iranians to protest for more freedoms.

People took to the streets of the capital, Tehran, and other cities on Sunday after Ahura Pirouz Khaleghi Yazdi urged protests across Iran.

The exile has predicted Iran's Islamic government will fall on 1 October.

Nobody had heard of Mr Yazdi until a few months ago when he set up a satellite channel in California to try to overthrow the Iranian government."

TE - on gold - I was shaken out of AU today when it broke the 200 ma but then it recovered and I didn't get back in ... yet. Butt the other metals I continue to hold.

Plunger - Why don't you do what I did and tell Ameriturd to stuff it where the sun don't shine? E.A.Direct is in Sarasote. If they screw up I will drive over and see what the matter is - they have invited me to visit any time.

So far I really like their service. Excellent fills. They offer a free trial to test their software - not a browser. Yes they are not as slick as some others, but they are small and you can get to know the main people there. Call and try their program out in demo mode. Not the Lite version - get the full version called Trade Direct USA..

Anotherone,

I have posted about the Low carb diet craze spreading throughout the world...it will have a major impact on many companies....if your product has flour or sugar in it,your sales will drop bigtime.

The other side of the equation is that companies with protein products will do very well.

The other side of that equation is that meat and chicken prices will go thru the roof, forcing costs up at fast food chains like McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I have been on this diet for about 10 weeks, its a very easy way to diet,it seems as if everyman and his dog is on this diet in OZ.

Watch stocks like Krispy Kreme,Sara Lee,Coca Cola ,Pepsi,Fast food chains,Bread companies...they will all report falling sales.

Behind the curve, Bris. Bakeries have been dropping like flies. IBC -bk, KKD, dropping. Some, like Tastykake, are baking low carb snack cakes. They taste great, but if you eat too many, you get diahrrea from the maltitol. Big food manna factors suddenly making lots of low carb brands, and labeling stuff low carb, even when its the same old stuff. like NEW LOW CARB MAYONAISE!
