traderfromhell
TE: I have one other story for you. My sister showed up with me one time to meet the Jefferson Airplane. Grace Slick started talking with my sister and invited her to her room and they dropped a little Green Goddess acid together. Everybody thinks we are just a bunch of hicks here in OKC, not true. I dare say I met all the major groups from 1970-1974. Yes, I even met Sonny and Cher. Cher was hot back then. Guess I must be gettin' old cause she still looks hot to me now. I also liked Grand Funk and Mark Farner. He was a really nice guy. We all want to give back for our wasted youth. :wink2: sounds like a trip to me. Never lived that life but, I tripped and glad I did.
brian4
Rocking Ronnie is actually older than me and headlined last year at the CNE in Toronto with Randy Bachman of BTO fame and the former leader of the Guess Who (there is a test for you) all of whom are Canucks. I am a huge Bryan Adams fan but all the press currently goes to Alanis Morrisette and Shania the former is a twit the latter a Fox!

machinehead
The Canuck Rockin Ronnie Hawkins was a member of the "Band"-unreal! You should get the Last Waltz DVD, Brian. Robbie Robertson gives a very spacy interview with a big Canadian flag (about 8 x 12 feet!) covering the whole wall behind him. There are guest appearances by Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young, too. Superbly filmed ...

Dustbowl
Traderfromhell: We had more room to live as kids, ya know? Today it's all about SAT's and beating the other guy. Oh man, we did some really crazy stuff but, it was never directed AT someone like the kids today. Oh well, I had a blast and I don't think I hurt anyone in the process. The End
I bid you all a good evening with The Bands The Weight lyrics. Read the damn thing. I pulled in to Nazareth, was feeling 'bout half past dead I just need some place where I can lay my head "Hey mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?" He just grinned and shook my hand, "No" was all he said Take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And you put the load right on me I picked up my bag, I went looking for a place to hide When I saw Carmen and the Devil walking side by side I said "Hey Carmen, come on, let's go downtown" She said "I gotta go but my friend can stick around" Go down Miss Moses, there's nothing you can say It's just old Luke, and Luke's waiting on the judgement day "Well, Luke my friend, what about young Anna-Lee?" He said "Do me a favour son, won't you stay and keep Anna-Lee company?" Crazy Chester followed me and he caught me in the fog He said "I will fix your rat if you'll take Jack my dog" I said "Wait a minute Chester, you know I'm a peaceful man" He said "That's okay boy, won't you feed him when you can?'' Catch a cannonball now to take me down the line My bag is sinking low and I do believe it's time To get back to Miss Fanny, you know she's the only one Who sent me here with her regards for everyone
