Depends -thanks for that "right on" post- Sleds post above yours is apropos too- 35,000 people who slugged their guts out for United Airlines for 30 t0 35 years are being told-"hey" if we cut your medical benefits we can get get out of bankruptcy with a federal loan Guarantee-what is wrong with this picture?? I am a Capitalist and what you DO with a DEAD COmpany is let it DIE! You don't screw the people that kept it afloat and profitable in the past. Ity seems the American people have lost their Way and their WILL! Doesn't it??? Sad very sad!

Layoffs to affect 150 in AT&T's Bothell offices

AT&T Wireless yesterday confirmed earlier reports it will lay off 220 information technology workers nationally, 150 of them from its Bothell offices.

What concerns me as well is that a disgruntled programmer can
leave behind some code that can skuttle a ship.
It wouldn't surprise me a bit.
Long ago I used to regularly put in my code that I sold
to companies little things to make sure I was paid.
Its easy to do, and unless someone has a de-compiler and an
expert coder with lots of hours free to search no one can find the little gremlins.
