From The Notebooks Of Lazarus Long

by Robert Anson Heinlein

Any government will work if authority and responsibility are equal and coordinate. This does not insure "good" government; it simply insures that it will work. But such governments are rare -- most people want to run things but want no part of the blame. This used to be called the "backseat-driver syndrome."

And with that being said, welcome to our scholarly community, AgentSmith! :)

Remember this chart? I warned when I posted it that the percentage would change as volume came up for the month.

On the insider buy/sell. I don't doubt the bearish implications but for the most part I don't think insiders actully buy. Actually nobody buys them. The stocks are born by immaculate conception and given to them on stock option deals.

My Good Doktor,
I myself have rehabilitated my snap hook into a nice power fade.
Sometimes tho', it still looks like a hook, just until it reaches the trees, then
"whomp, there it is!" fanning back out intothe fairway.

I feel that way today when I see gold turn back up.

Doc,

What proof Myers were you drinking as you penned the A.M. Golden Stool? There are several possibilities. I suspect you were on the strong stuff, but there's a big difference between 80 and 120 proof, so some more detail would be appreciated!

My deadcharts is working fine.

...A declining spenglerian carnival of Colossaalism united with Inflation where the numbers one through 10 are forever banished as worthless arithmetical detritus from a bygone age... - Beardrech

Naturally we believe the govt numbers... and Boobus Americanus sleepwalks off the edge of the energy-crisis cliff clutching his shares of "Crisco", Yoohoo and GooGah munching on his Yum Yums and Ho Hos. Future historians will have a hell of a time figuring out what the hell Americanus neanderthalus was thinking and exactly what brought on his sudden demise... - Henny Penny

Well, good night everyone. I gotta go lube up for tomorrow's regular end-of-week Gold Slapdown and Stock Index Bear Punishment Rally Weekend Greenprint. ...Probably another Shock-and-Awe Gap-Up-Open and Wire-to-Wire Meltup Runaway Bull Charge Mo-Mo Spike to Fresh New All-Time Lifetime Highs, culminating in a 4:15 yelping scalded dog runoff with panic short-covering and legal not-held bad double fills due to fast market conditions, plus quote system freeze-ups and trading platform lock-outs along the way. *yawn* typical gov't Friday. - Shorty
