Let's see if it will stay there.

It won't and then it will. Not because it deserves to but, nonetheless, it will.

machine: why is it so hard for you to understand that there will NOT be a second recovery in the economy? Plese tell me why the you and the shills will be right this year after being so dead wrong the last 3?

The BKX (Banksters) index is trading at what would be a 12-month closing high, if it holds. XBD (Borkers) busted out to a 12-month high yesterday.

Financials and techs ... bringin' back memories.

They're running out of oxygen up here. A fall towards earth would be in order. Lance Lewis says that this is looking so much like 1987, it will almost HAVE to end the same way. My only disconnect is that it might be worse: Al resolved '87 with a method called "pumping", a newfangled and radical move at the time.

16 years later, and many pumps later, something makes me think it won't work this time around.

Still looking at 1060 to get 100% short, just easing in a bit here as we approach some key levels.

What's happened to MO ?

Some anal cyst report I think - don't have it but Joe K on crapvision mentioned it earlier (only reason the Dow is red  ). Think they said international sales were weak and something about that big bond needed for the court case not being completely resolved

Sure has that smell. Wonder what Marty Zweig thinks. He nailed 1987 dead on.

Unless you have anything substantive to say in response to any individual posters post. . . that would be good.
