Closed out a small long SPX position yesterday and my friggin' XAU short hedge, didn't get the bounce Ike and others thought we'd get. Gold presaged the story; it's been a long time since this has happened. Now 100% cash and sittin' on a some stacks of Eagles. I want to see what happens at 875 before I commit again. These maniacs are loosing control but they haven't LOST control yet. I won't trust 'em till I see the FEAR in their eyes. It's coming, though.

“Wasn't there a Beavis and Butthead episode where they licked a toad and got high?!”

It was Homer Simpson

"It was a STONE GROOVE, muh man.."

...A declining spenglerian carnival of Colossaalism united with Inflation where the numbers one through 10 are forever banished as worthless arithmetical detritus from a bygone age... - Beardrech

Naturally we believe the govt numbers... and Boobus Americanus sleepwalks off the edge of the energy-crisis cliff clutching his shares of "Crisco", Yoohoo and GooGah munching on his Yum Yums and Ho Hos. Future historians will have a hell of a time figuring out what the hell Americanus neanderthalus was thinking and exactly what brought on his sudden demise... - Henny Penny

Well, good night everyone. I gotta go lube up for tomorrow's regular end-of-week Gold Slapdown and Stock Index Bear Punishment Rally Weekend Greenprint. ...Probably another Shock-and-Awe Gap-Up-Open and Wire-to-Wire Meltup Runaway Bull Charge Mo-Mo Spike to Fresh New All-Time Lifetime Highs, culminating in a 4:15 yelping scalded dog runoff with panic short-covering and legal not-held bad double fills due to fast market conditions, plus quote system freeze-ups and trading platform lock-outs along the way. *yawn* typical gov't Friday. - Shorty

SG weighs in

Continuing to hold 200% short QQQ position.

NAS may see 1378 today to fill a ST gap... then who knows.

Maintain my 24.50 target on Q's within a few trading days to fill gaps on NDX at 975 range.

The pig still has lipstick as NDX closed at premium to cash last night... so it aint down much this morning.

I just read a 10 page annual report from David Tice, as I own his fund. Let me tell you, if that didnt make any bull shit in the woods... they never will learn.

I'm sleeping very well at night...

See ya at 975 NDX within a few trading days

Trading Places. Best scene was Eddie Murphy as the Cameroon guy. "want some beef jerky?"

edit - forget about Jamie Lee Curtis frontal shot. Fine piece of anatomy.

Louis Winthorpe, III: Think big, think positive. Never show any sign of weakness. Always go for the throat. Buy low, sell high. Fear . . . that's the other guy's problem.

Trading Places was filmed right in my neigborhood.

The Sixth Sense was filmed a block up the street from where I was born.

My favorite show is Hack!

My favorite political saying is "Spacco il capo!"

Where am I from?
