swordfish
Food topic The problem with food in most advanced and developing economies, is that its really hard to eat normal, not modified, healthy food, even vegetables. Iv read many articles about engineered food so even tomatoes may have a scorpion gene. why? tomatoes would not lost so much water (contain water inside) etc. So, ok, lets skip meat. But what about vegetables? what about winter time? If I go to supermarket [and unfortunately supermarket in Poland are almost, like other industries (banks, telco) in Poland dominated by companies from abroad like carrefour (france), lidl (germany), metro group (brand " real" from germany) and many many more. ] what would you eat? Its impossible to not eat engineered food or at least a food which has grown in modern way (tomatoes in winter, its not normal). So the only way is to have your own garden? Really. After so many years of innovation etc Are we coming back to the beginning? any ideas?

I_Am_Madness
Hey Gang... I just got a call that my Dad passed away somewhat unexpectedly after having spent the last few years with major complications from heart disease and diabetes. He was only 71, and should have been enjoying his retirement years playing golf and the like. If any of you are eating a crap diet and you know it, please stop. My dad was a classic example of what the average American diet full of fat and junk carbs will do to you. My condolences to you and your family. As far as diet goes, that post on vegetable diet that you wrote few weeks back is spot on. It should be a must read for this whole fat nation if you ask me. FranciscoTheMan
with a title like Homebuilding is going nowhere, I just had to throw a link in. This article says that the only news next week is new housing starts which have a consensus of -3%. Checkout the highlighted reader comment by "Impending Doom" funny as hell to see stuff like that on Marketwatch. Of course news is noise...... FranciscoTheMan
On a side note, I have finally dipped my toes in the linux pond this weekend and have a dual boot running on my laptop. While I'll always have to use a windows system for some of my work, it is pretty cool to consider how much good software there is available for free. Put that in your pipe and smoke it bill gates.
