Madame Wrecked Him
The AHO news is huge in The Netherlands; Albert Heijn is such an institution over there. Amsterdam is now down over 4%. http://www.volkskrant.nl/index.html One by one, all those staid no-growth companies spiced up their business in the lat 90's by rapid expansion and leverage. Now one by one, they're having to pay for all that additional risk. Enron, Vivendi, now Ahold, I wonder how many more we'll be seeing before this is all said and done. Drano
Drano, don't jinx it. ME? No way, my bearanoia is still running full tilt. Not happy about the upward motion in GE and XLNX.
PileDriver
http://csf.colorado.edu/forums/longwaves/2...03/pdf00014.pdf Wave 2 terminal (mid Jan) implies that a test of Oct lows is practically in the bag. Decline off Jan highs is still in progress. Be patient. This rally will most likely be smaller (shorter) than the ones preceding it as we slide down the slope of hope. (Its one degree lower than Jan's)

PileDriver
if you think there is a lot of pessimism (per CPC) think again. We are practically back down to the July/Oct lows again yet VIX is much lower than back then. http://stockcharts.com/gallery?$VIX Bulls are beyond complacent, they are comatose. In bear markets declines have a way of sneaking up on you. That's b/c the spectacular rallies throw people off guard. Scare the bears and lull the bulls. BAREister
HRFF may be miss?STEAKun butt (_)_) he rather thot it was he who FURst, here, came up with the notion that "whatever your weakness, the market will find it" by quoting Mr. RICHARD RUSSELL. This ex?-attorney looks w a laconic, detached and wryly bemused eye on the "confessionals" he sees appearing here and the animus that prompts those who post them. Ms Mkt exacts her pound of flesh from everyone's hide sooner or later. Sometimes several times over. These occasionally touching tales of angst, trial by FUR, and enSUEing ? epiphany etc., pale in comparison to the myriad litany of torts and human behavior gone awry one is exposed to in lawr skool; however: Perhaps, maybe even hopefully, this soul-BAREing ? hASS a salutary effect upon the readers. Perhaps SNOT. Again, to quote Mr. Richard Russell: "We all have our own snakes to kill." A rather visceral way of putting it, wot? Or, to put it anUDDER way: "cASSt a cold eye upon life, upon death; Horseman, pASS by!!!"
