Not much changed in the sectors: Telecomms -2%, REITS -1.3% and at the other end, Energy +0.7%. Asia off the lows: China flat, Honkers -0.5%, India -0.4% and Nikkers -0.2%. Feb. 8: Sprint Nextel third-largest U.S. mobile network operator by subscriber numbers, reported a substantially larger fourth-quarter net loss than the same quarter a year ago, mainly reflecting the higher costs of selling Apple's heavily subsidised iPhone 4S.
