baby_bear
On another matter, and just for sport, I am writing to my congresscritters and Senators insisting that they reign in those underhanded Chinese with import tarrifs. This motivation, I think, comes from the same part of my brain that is sorry that Isabell is losing strength and is secretly rooting for a rebound in wind speed. I can't defend that sort of thinking but I always root for a larger storm, not a smaller one. ROFL and hoping that I'm just tired.
longOnUranus
I found a good paragraph in Faber's Tomorrow's Gold: (paraphrase) " The end of a mania is marked by bookstores and news stands adding shelf space to their business and finance sections..." I was travelling via Cincinatti Monday and noted TWO bookstores at the airport (CVG) ... "Crapvision Bookstore" ...logo and all...honest to God. I fly out of DFW a lot, but haven't seen this one to date anywhere else. Anybody else seen one? Maybe the "top" IS in. edit - Doc's word screener in working order. The BOTTOM wll be in when they actually call them Crapvision Bookstores.

It will have to settle for a well-lubricated bald leprechaun.
Sphinxter
From CNN this morning: Considerable damage should be expected to mobile homes, trees and shrubbery in the landfall region. Damage to roofs and windows also should be expected. Yawn. Once they're down to citing the impact on the shrubbery, I kinda start losing interest.
