wndysrf
Good afternoon Riverboaters. PigMen continue to inflict maximum possible pain on their biggest and best customers in order to jack up commissions, margin interest, failure to deliver late charges, and other assorted fees. Not only that, the Prop Desks who have all the inside information are making a killing by hacking up the 9500 HedgeFunds by trading against them. No doubt, everybody and their brother went short on Friday after the dreaded "50-day and 200-day cross" was painted up by the PigMen Chartists who are masterful artists of deception. A 200 point up day was a guarantee after such a signal. Now we look at the AH action and find more carnage. SNDK up 18%, and NutFlux down 18%. Which stocks do you short? Which stocks do you go long? Impossible to say without paying off a Russian Escort $50,000 for a stock tip obtained in the bedroom of a palatial estate out at The Hamptons. Only the PigMen have the answers, as the stock market has turned into a giant pool sharking operation. Anybody here short Nova Gold? No doubt, one or more HedgeFunds have had their quarter ruined in the overnights on that play. Who went long ZRAN in April when it gapped up on 10x normal volume? Now its down 13% AH and getting shanked after the hopers thought it would bounce up with the semis one day. Now the stock has been cut in half. Too bad. Odds are better by going to the opium den and playing a hand of Mah Jong with a 15-year old female Chinese card shark. No thanks. One thing about flash memory is that it is still dog slow compared to traditional disks. The speedup is nice for those that use them in cameras. There are still issues in using them as disk drives but things are getting better on both the speed side and the capacity side. I read some articles on this stuff recently and was going to look into Lexar because they make the highest performing stuff.
prancing_cow
what to do with CTX? http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060724/dam028.html?.v=67 "In the first fiscal quarter, Centex repurchased 3,500,000 shares at an average price of $53.46 per share. Additionally, since July 1, 2006, the company repurchased another 1,000,000 shares at an average price of $50.80. There are 10,000,000 shares remaining in the current repurchase authorization." it closed at $47.06, current after hours bids starting at $46.00 I guess I should sell/short them some since they are dying to buy.
