DrStool
We had a beautiful day here today in cold, rainy, blustery, Paris. We paid our respects at the Bataclan.
DrStool
Oh my. We walked within 2 blocks of Charlie Hebdo and I didn't know it. Paris is still crawling with heavily armed military. While we were in a store, they police came and cordoned off the street in front of us, apparently due to suspicious package. Parisians seem to have become accustomed to it. They went about their business as if nothing unusual were going on. Humans are amazing at adapting. We go into a state of denial that allows us to function normally. "It won't happen to me." It works.
