DrStool
Good morning and good stool to all! This thread is for short term and intraday TA and charts only. No chit chat, and no OT. Guest
Any e-waver out there willing to comment on the e-wave picture of the $USD? 7-11 asked about it in Golden Stool. The way I see it, it's in a 5th of 3rd of 5 down - but I'm no e-xpert. Regards, Vesselin

Contrarian
We closed at the high of a range Friday, and it looks like we will open near the low of the range today. Still looks like chop within the range - and I don't know when / where it will break. The projections on the HOURLY chart are valid either way - but the (hourly) IT appears to be entering roll over territory. The question is how much more chop before a move developes projecting +.15pts per hour for 10 hours in yellow +0 in white -.15 in yellow on HOURLY SPY data: my ST chart and my IT Attractor For those unfamiliar with my charts, an explanation can be found here. It focuses on daily data but is applicable to hourly by substituting hours for days in the trends, moving averages, lookback periods, slopes, etc

blackbelt
The pivot low was taken out (see SPX 5m chart above). That indicates impulse to the downside. For this assumption to be correct, Friday's high should not be surpassed until the downswing is complete

BAREister
Sloth, if u r watching the MACD would you please lettuce know if & when the 60 min MACD crosses over to the downside? Tia. For those unfamiliar with my charts, an explanation can be found here. Here's a possible alternative explanation: A graphic depiction of HRFF's FUR when he wakes up in the morning after having taken a shower prior to bedtime! GregFokker
On the COMPX 5 min it looks like a bear flag. How far/long would it have to go to cease being a corrective wave in the downtrend to being impulsive?
