Power Outages Strike Major Canadian, U.S. Cities

BOSTON (Reuters) - Power outages struck major U.S. and Canadian cities on Thursday, witnesses said, although it was not immediately clear if there was a link between the breakdowns.

Power outages were reported in the New York metropolitan area and Detroit, as well as in Toronto and Ottawa, witnesses said.

if you wanna do a major western city any harm you just have to put out the power supply.

I'm watching the feed from channel-4 in NY. Total bedlam.

tanks, better than CNN (no feed but some info). They just yanked that Jane woman off the air, she was losing it.

 

Subways stopped, lots of unhappy commuters.

 

Everyone being careful to say there's no evidence these outages are linked, but how can they not be.
