brian4
Te and I covered a lot of ground as we always do and it isn't all the markets. We conversed at length about WHY our two countries who trade between each other more than any Nations and who complement each other so well aren't forming more of an economic union to counter the European Bloc. Well Shrub is a big irritant here, Mulroney and Reagan were fast friends, Clinton and Chretien ditto, Shrub is detested here but Kerry wouldn't be and it only makes sense doesn't it. Lots of energy, water commonality and manufacturing capacity-if only it were so simple-Huh!
traderfromhell
Anybody have an opinion on this gem? A relative of mine bought the stock about 10% above this and just won't dump it. Rode the sucker all the way down from the high 3's. Looks Dover Sole here to me. What do you guys think? Looks ugly to me. That was a pretty defined trend line that got broken, and when it left $3 behind after a double top, I'd say this former Wall Street Darling has been discarded by the Boys. If it catches a bounce here to test $3 again, that's as much as I'd expect of it. I'd have been out on the break of $3 I told his stupid ass to sell on a retest of the highs around 4 but he insists Howard Stern will make it a 20 dollar stock. Sheeple thought eh? Rode the sucker all the way down from the high 3's. Looks Dover Sole here to me. What do you guys think? I would short that stock chart if the price were 10 or 20 times higher. They have 1 billion shares outstanding. If they are worth 50 cents, I would be surprised. FWIW. I had several "peeps" ask me about this over the span of time. I have never said Yes to a buy. Great technology but, ads are what made radio what it is. I see them not being satisfied, down the road. On that subject. Don't you hate that when you go to a movie, they show commercials now. I HATE that. Thanks for all the input. This schmuck won't sell. Especially at a loss. Now if he could only get even. Famous last words.

Hiding Bear
X-FLARE: Earth-orbiting satellited detected a powerful X2-class solar flare at approximately 0200 UT on July 15th. The explosion probably came from sunspot 649. Stay tuned for confirmation. http://www.spaceweather.com/ This is an unusual solar outburst, partially aimed at Earth. There have been massive power blackouts and communication disruptions, especially in Canada and northern US, associated with X class flares. From a CNN story a few days ago: The sun produced some of the most extreme events on record from October 22 to November 4, 2003. Some of the light-speed radiation and particle-based CMEs slammed squarely into our planet, hampering radio communications, forcing the FAA to divert airline traffic away from polar routes (which are exposed to higher radiation doses), and crippling two Japanese satellites. Astronauts aboard the International Space Station took cover multiple times in protected areas. http://edition.cnn.com/2004/TECH/space/07/...ar.storm.proof/

traderfromhell
Don't hear much about Richard Russell on this board. I recall reading in his newsletter about 21 years ago after the market exploded off the August '82 lows about a pattern he called "Diamond in the Sky". Does anyone recall this early '83 article or know where I could find it? I still think he's one of the most astute if not the most exciting commentators around. brian4
HB-that is interesting on the Sun Spots- I have been following that story for awhile cuz my stuff is based on the astro's and I grow tired of those who pooh, pooh it. It is always interesting that folks accept results but never, ever the theory behind it. In any event a flare of that magnitude means market trouble DEAD AHEAD-BIG TROUBLE! purdymouth
via DrudgeReport.com: NYT PAGE ONE THURS: BUSH TO DROP CHENEY GOSSIP Wed Jul 14 2004 18:21:14 ET The latest theory about Vice President Dick Cheney's future on the Republican ticket, advanced privately by prominent Democrats, including members of Congress, holds that Cheney recently dropped his personal doctor because of drug addiction so that he could hire a new one, who will conveniently tell him in August that his heart problems have made him unfit to run with Bush! So reports the NEW YORK TIMES, in a planned Front Page story on Thursday. Reporter Elisabeth Bumiller is set to kick the gossip into high gear with a 1,600-word speculative, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE. Developing... zensmoke
Hear the Rumor on Cheney? Capital Buzzes, Denials Aside BY ELISABETH BUMILLER Published: July 15, 2004 WASHINGTON, July 14 - In the annals of Washington conspiracy theories, the latest one, about Vice President Dick Cheney's future on the Republican ticket, is as ingenious as it is far-fetched. But that has not stopped it from racing through Republican and Democratic circles like the latest low-carb diet. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/07/15/politics...ign/15vice.html
