i saw futures trading 1pt+.....over cash a few times during afternoon

session.............

buy/sell proggies tend to kick in when futures exceed (or fall below) fair value by a certain amount.

http://www.programtrading.com/

for more info...daily levels can also be found here

Program Trading Premium Execution Levels

Our FairValue for the SP 500 today is $--.12. That price will not change during the day. Our computers are set for program buying at $+.88 and set for program selling at $--1.00 If you would like to watch these execution levels the symbol is PREM (sp-prem and prem A0(zero) on good data feeds; $prem, prem.x, sps, spinx, and any other weird ticker symbol on horrible data feeds).

helps if you're doing many trades a day.

T-shirt tolerance: Bush loses test

RICHARD LEIBY

Posted online: Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 0114 hours IST

WASHINGTON, AUGUST 18: The question: Which presidential campaign better tolerates dissent? The experiment: A man wears a Kerry-Edwards shirt to a rally for President Bush, then a Bush for President shirt to a Kerry rally. Result: Bush people make him remove his shirt, and give him the boot. The Kerry people don?t make a peep.

John Prather, 38, a Mathematics professor at Ohio University, says he carried out this one-man study, attending both rallies in a day. ??It?s been my opinion that George Bush has stifled dissent ... I think Kerry doesn?t. In neither event was I a threat to anyone.??

Does anyone have any thoughts about the Rydex ratio?

The current level of bearishness in the Rydex funds would seem to support the idea that this rally could go quite a bit farther.

Just something that's been bothering me.

It is one indicator But, yes it should bother a bear.

The best one could due here IMHO is go long Dec 1075 calls. For a buy and hold trade. Only bet what you could lose. Sorry stoolville. The next drop to the 1090-1080 area I will take my small loss or profit and begin to go long. Thinking like a criminal.

I don't see why it would.

Everybody who wanted to bid was given a chance. There was less interest than expected.

Now as the cash is drained from bidders' accounts, who's left to buy?
