Guest
. . . For the purpose of this paper simplicity is the key, so I have no intent to beat the details to death. The bottom line is this: AMERICA IS SPENDING TOO MUCH MONEY. Just last night Arnold Schwarzenegger delivered his first State of the State Address where he made it VERY CLEAR that, ?Cal-i-for-nia does not have a budget crisis. Cal-i-for-nia has a spending crisis!" We are spending money we don?t have, therefore we must borrow it or quit spending so much money. We have been doing it for MANY YEARS and continue to add more and more debt at record speed. Our trade deficit is running over $40 billion every single month and the Federal Budget deficit continues to grow unabated. To support our incredible consumption machine, the BIS estimates that the USA is now absorbing 80% of all the world?s savings to fund the deficit spending of Americans. This is not a sustainable trend . . .

Butterfield 8
Glad Forgive my ignorance. I do not understand how the savings of other nations ends up funding our deficit. could you explain? thanks
Guest
From Gladiator's first link above: "Year 2003 was a great year for stocks as Wall Street managers are back into the big bucks for year-end bonuses. The average year-end bonus to Wall Street workers was about $60,000 since it was such a great year for stocks." Sheesh most people I know don't even earn that much annually, let alone as a bonus! Guest jrmfl
Glad Forgive my ignorance. I do not understand how the savings of other nations ends up funding our deficit. could you explain? thanks Father Dollar "You grow weak, Father Dollar," the trader said, "And now sag against euro and yen; Perhaps I'll seek elsewhere for safety instead, Then come back though there's no telling when." "What's all this," Father Dollar cried out in deep shock? "How you loved me in recent times past; You'd buy all my bonds and collect all my stock, I felt sure it was destined to last." "That was then," laughed the trader, "we live in today, Your current account is a mess; Your people will not their consumption delay, Why should we pay because they won't spend less?" "Don't be cruel," pled the Dollar, "why can't you be nice? You know in my day I was kind. I squeezed with a smile, and gave free advice, Be a sport help me ride out this bind." wndysrf
Things are now really starting to get out of control to the upside. Wild upside gaps in the telecommie space. QCOM, RFMD, ERICY headed towards the moon. Yet another big upside gap on YHOO, now up 14 out of the last 15 trading days. Big bids lifting the Large Breasted Wonders in the Pre-Market Another $3.00 upside gap on SCHN. Its $8.00 opening gap down yesterday morning has been erased in 24 hours. SUNW going wild, setting up on a Parabolic Run. Heavy jamming in SIRI, XMSR Even gold is getting a stiffie. Gold knows that hyperinflation is coming. Bob "Mr. Clean" Froehlich is once again Foaming at the Mouth on CrapView. But the most amazing is the Mad Cow Tester, now bidding $5.00 after being up 145% yesterday.
