wndysrf
This is a freaking joke: America is on sale. Foreign investors are lapping up U.S. stocks. Thirst for 33x earnings shares is insatiable. U.S. Riverboaters are just gaming the long side for the ride, for as long as the stupid foreigners keep buying. In Fleck's Mania Chronicles, he documents some historic moves near the 2000 top. Nasdaq futures moving 7% - 8% in one day. SOX index moving in one week the same number of points during the entire year of 1995. I suspect we'll see similar action whenever this market reaches its climax. scottcardiff
The US peso in waterfall mode is simply a lack of bids as the market extends toward a strong fib cluster at 84.5-85.4 area. There have been virtually NO buy signals for weeks on this toilet paper currency, making it relatively simple for traders. Look to the above zone for a bounce, and hopefully a concurrent drop in equity prices as the hedge gets unwound.

The brown one
I bet it's the only way dollar bagholders can see at the minute of not getting slaughtered.Buy USD denominated stocks and hope like hell that they go up quicker than the dollar goes down--and of course they're so smart they'll be able to get out before the crash!! Guest jrmfl
Holy Smokes! Guten Morgan Fx. keep an eye on the dollar as HR767 & S596... may be law by the time congress returns on 1/2/04... that may provide the bounce, the miners would be a ST SELL then. they may delay the announcement of law til first week in february. Lock Limit Down
The dollar implosion is breathtaking. Any stoolies remember what happened to the dollar leading up to the 87 crash? Silver has been trading like a hot potato all night. I see they are trying to slam it down even as the dollar continues to weaken. The silver paper pushers have had a little of their own pain inflicted on longs, come full circle since November 10 with silver going from $5.00-$6.00. I cant imagine the margin calls. It will be very difficult for any push down to be sustained with more and more jumping on the silver train. Finally the supply and demand fundamentals are surfacing.
