Window dressing this week. Runnin it up on fumes...chased the dark side today for some coin. New home sales at 10am tomorrow. Might be a market mover. If they can float this thing till Thursday the ISM may just put a nail in Bullys coffin. If it comes in over 50 look out above. Still looking for possibly one new high before they pull the rug out. Starting too look like the top before a correction back to break out levels. Thats how I see it IMHO

Equity Fund Outflows -$10.5 Bil; Taxable Bond Fund Inflows $1.5 Bil

xETFs - Equity Fund Outflows -$2.8 Bil; Taxable Bond Fund Inflows $1.2 Bil

 

Large capital gains distributions were reported this week, which decrease the net flows by the amount paid out to investors.

Including ETF activity, Equity funds report net cash outflows totaling -$10.499 billion in the week ended 12/20/06 with Domestic funds reporting net outflows of -$13.241 billion and Non-domestic funds reporting net inflows of $2.742 billion;

Excluding ETF activity, Equity funds report net cash outflows totaling -$2.788 billion with domestic funds reporting net outflows of -$4.422 billion and Non-domestic funds reporting net inflows totaling $1.633 billion;

Exchange Traded (Equity) funds report net outflows of -$7.710 billion with the largest flows:

-$7.679 Bil from the SPDR Tr Series I fund;

-$1.618 Bil from the iShares Russell 2000 Index fund;

$668 Mil to the iShares MSCI EAFE Index fund;

$518 Mil to the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stk fund;

Excluding ETF activity International funds report net outflows of -$338 million;

Excluding ETF activity Taxable Bond funds report net inflows totaling $1.166 billion;

Money Market funds report net cash inflows totaling $2.186 billion;

Municipal Bond funds report net cash inflows of $260 million.

Boxing day is the start of the Sydney-Hobart yacht race.

 

Race is into its 23rd hour with the leading boats about to enter the Bass Strait leg, usually the most dangerous.

 

5 meter seas overnight knocked a handful of boats out of the race with gear and mast failures and some injuries to crew.

 

Koomooloo is reportedly sinking with the crew being rescued. Hope all goes well with that.

 

The thing of note about Koomooloo is that it is sponsored by one of Australia's largest reamators.

 

An inauspicious start to the summer selling season.
