#925979 World Stock Markets Trading Discussion - Whacked waffling

Sounds nice Doc.

Hey Madness -- any thoughts on getting long SnP at these levels?

My prognosticator is getting all excited.

I just covered my June ES short at 2335.25 for a flat trade..been holding it for a few weeks.

Looking to add it back on the bounce into Thursday.

#925354 World Stock Markets Trading Discussion - Ongoing oblivion

Posted by SiP on 06 January 2017 - 05:08 PM

This is amazing.

This is the 3rd longest bull market in history!

I remember start of it, TJ calls and many good traders here like I am Madness, Fxfoxx, jimi, Pretzel or famous K Wave.

The bears must be battered and tired. 92 months!

March 2017 would mark 2nd longest bull and july 2017 as longest bull in american capital market history. Amazing. We truly lives in historic times!

In Q1 2017 we should get some correction in equities (down), bonds (prices up, yield down), dollar (down).

Inauguration day (20th jan 2017) should mark the moment:

I'm getting ready to leave my Canadian "summer" home and head for NYC to take care of some biz there, then we're embarking for Europe on the Queen Mary on Jan 3.

I'm on Amtrak headed for NYC and on to our winter sojourn in Quebec to see the kids for the holidays. Then it's on to London, Paris, Venice and Athens in Jan-Feb. Palma de Mallorca in Feb-Mar. We're taking the Queen Mary from NY to Southampton, same as last year. It's the only way to travel!

I'll be maintaining a  mostly normal work schedule, just in more interesting environments.

They even had Abbey "Ape" Cohen on BBR this morning, to help reminisce those days.

Jumped eagerly on to the computer Tues morning to find internet dead as a door nail, apparently was fixed last night (Wed).  In the meantime my modem had gone *poof* but it took me most of today to realize that.  Anyway new modem, new day tomorrow and I'd better catch up on my charts..life returns to normal .. :)

I take it, Scrapple is one of the items not on their menu........

Not!

It's a Kosher facility.

Seriously. It's the Jewish holiday cooking I remember from childhood, when our family celebrations would number 40-50 people and a couple of my aunts and my mother would do all the cooking. With our family scattered to the 4 corners of Merica we don't have those any more. And while I have fully embraced French Canadian traditions through my immediate family, I do miss the ones I grew up with.  I had a roast chicken dinner and a brisket dinner here that were both so good and so reminiscent of those happy times of childhood, they literally brought tears of joy to my eyes.

I can let you know from experience my house is fully solar powered, I live in a area where 2 or 3 day power cuts are quite common. Having solar beats having to run a generator or worry about buying fuel for a generator. These equations are based on a functioning electrical system, when compared to running a generator and buying black market fuel. The solar pay back is 5 years or three if you take into account the ease of operation. Washing the panels once a week and checking the water level in the battery is a whole lot quicker than queueing for fuel.
