simple guy
Gold stocks were so dover sole it wasnt even funny, dont think its anything else. Could be a nice bounce US Dollar is pulling back, but should be in a multi week, month corrective towards 107-109 range IMO, before resuming her decline

The End
"This is like watching Iron rust". LT. is his anvil ready again on top of Sears Tower? I love that line of his. Maybe, but the market reminds him of a beach ball these days.

machinehead
It's perfectly emblematic of TA's great weakness - ignoring funnymentals, and, in this scenario now so much the subject of TA conjecture - ignoring history. The great weakness of funnymentals is ignoring TA. Funnymentals can be used as a bullish or bearish bias. But when the market blasts ahead on bearish funnymentals (which it does at the bottom of every recession) or collapses on bullish funnymentals (as in March-April 2000), TA trumps funnymentals. This is ignoring history? TA is nothing but the application of historical tendencies.
PileDriver
BB, Nice chart! I like that 599 spx number as a bottom of thia A wave in the bear market. We are running out of time. ditto TE, you beat me to the punch but off course always watching my "backside for upside."
richmtn
Larry T just mentioned the xau move up today and that may mean something happing over the weak-end. :shocked We are approaching the turn window for gold. I will be posting my analysis in Night Stool exclusively. Also since there is renewed interest I will have a COT report.

chiefywiefy
Closed QQQ dong. Looks like I'm not going to get a melt up with the volume the way it is. Made $10. Slapping myself for using Doc's CMAPS to buy but not taking any profit on the upper CMAPS.

blackbelt
If the 600 comes this year (which I'm not sure it will) it should come from a May high (assuming there are no outside events in the meantime)

soup
machine: are you implying that the economic weakness is about to come to a conclusion? Personally, I do not think the recession/depression has yet to start.
